Watercolour printer paper?????

Postby Susan » Sun Dec 06, 2009 12:27 am

Is there such a thing as watercolour printer paper or card? If so is it reasonably priced?

I have downloaded a couple of freebie digital stamps and obviously if I print them onto normal card watercolouring the image will make the card buckle (or worse).

Has anyone used digi stamps and coloured them in? If so what have you used.

I know Pro Markers are supposed to be good but after my craft spending spree last week on my Cuttlebug, embossing folders and some new stamps I'm all spent out  .

I have used Sakura gelly roll pens neat and with the ink diluted with water sucessfully and the watercolour pencils without using water, but even with water if you keep the brush just damp it should work on ordinary card stock.

Hi Susan I use digi stamps quite a lot just print out onto ordinary card then colour in I tend to use felt tips with a water brush or watercolour pencils with the brush
Do not regret growing older, it is a privilege denied to many.

Thanks Eileen. I wonder why that site didn't come up when I googled - perhaps I was impatient and only looked at the first google page  . So it is available but a bit on the pricier side.

Nanna and Lindadragonfly - thanks for letting me know you've used ordinary card successfully. I attempted to yesterday and I think I must have had my brush too wet. I have one of those water brushes with the reservoir but I think it must have been a cheapy one rather than the Aquabrush (is that the better brand???). Mine just seemed to get too wet. I have a couple of ordinary brushes but they are the very small sizes, I think I will get a bigger one and try again.

Thanks again. I'm full of questions lately  .
