2 or 3 of us are clubbing together to buy a friend all she needs to begin stamping ( yes ,I know !!!!!! :D )
I have come up with heat gun, clear, silver, gold pads and powders. Anything else you would consider essential? She has bought some very nice stamps already!

Black inkpads are a must..a versafine and a slower drying pigment for embossing.. Set of Marvy le plume or similar if shes going to be watercolouring her images.Stazon as well for acetates/plastics/coated cardstock. Dont forget the antistatic bag for the ep!!!
Depending on how much your budget is, a selection of versacolour cubes/brilliance dew drops/versamagic dew drops across a colour palette would be good too!!

And the most important thing...good smooth white cardstock!!!

you havent mentioned actual stamps sheila, but i would reccomend a sheet of clear stamps with a block as they are great when your starting out. They can be picked up really cheaply in some high street book/stationary shops.

How about a craft knife and a metal ruler. :D
Then again, maybe not, if they are going by post

I agree with Trish, Black Stazon and Good Smooth White Cardstock.

I use Stazon a lot now and I very rarely use my embossing powders, as they are not needed to seal the ink.
