Would love to hear how you all store your unmounted stamps.....mine are just a mess in a drawer, all on top of each other....the result is I don't really know what I have and it can't be doing them any good at all!! Any good suggestions on how to keep them more orderly and protected? Thank you.. :D

I keep mine in a file in those plastic 9 pocket folders used for ATCs etc. Bigger ones are in small cheap photo album,in between the plastic sleeves.

I use a variety of storage systems - my Paper Artsy Hot Picks and favourites are stored in their original packing in a drawer. My Crafty Individuals are mostly in CD cases, and the rest in their original packing, also in their own drawer. Then I have several lever arch files, in themes, for others. I also have a few Stampin Up Sets in their own cases and some Darkroom Door which come in lovely tins and both those collections are on a shelf in one of the two bookcases where I keep my wood mounted stamps. I do not wish for anyone to be under the misconception that this is all very organised - I also have a pile of stamps on the side which are waiting to be put back into their appropriate "home" - when the pile starts collapsing onto the floor, and I am tearing my hair out because I cannot find anything, I sort them out and put them away  !!!!
Grant me patience Lord - please hurry!!

I keep mine in workmen's containers - the ones with spaces (for nails, etc) and with movable dividers so can make spaces larger if need be - they are then kept under the bed - no room anywhere else.

Had a look at the videos Maree, they are both great ideas. I use the second video style,as I said, the 9 pocket ATC plastic folders are ideal for the smaller stamps.

I put mine onto an acetate sheet and then into an A4 plastic sleeve, then into a large lever arch file.

Oh goodness you put me all to shame, mine are very disorganised, plastic pages, loose, even all mixed up. I must give myself a stern talking to and tidy and sort them, it would save time when I'm looking for something.

Slaps hands and stands in the corner with the hat marked 'D' on it.

I use these holders: http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemd ... tem=STOR01

They work beautifully for unmounted stamps with the foam backing to stick to the plastic. I store them in a magazine holder. I LOVE them!

First stage of the exercise completed! The stamps are now in folders (photos albums). Now all I need to do is stamp and laminate the backing sheets! It's already a huge improvement on the mess in the drawer - I can actually see which stamps I have!! Might even start to use some of them! Thank you all again!

I purchased some of those small a4 office drawers and have them sorted into the drawers, words, animals, backgrounds, christmas etc. You can put them onto acetate sheets first or just stack them into each draw.

I also use these drawers for the wooden mounted stamps and more drawers for all my assorted punches.

Hi,

I started off keeping mine in a binder, but it got combersone quicky. Now I use CD cases and love them! They're very easy to store and take up little space on my table when I'm stamping.

I am a woodsy kind of girl and have few unmounted rubberstamps. But the few that I do have, I keep them in CD cases and love it!
